The candidates who contested the elections 2019 have been asked to submit their election expenditure details by June 22.
Krishna district Collector A.Md. Imtiaz, District Election Observer Jaya Ganesh and other officials on Wednesday reviewed the status of the submission of the election expenditure details by the candidates.
Referring to Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency, Mr. Imtiaz said that barely three of the 15 contestants submitted their details to the election authorities. “Special help desks have been set up in Machilipatnam and Vijayawada for the candidates to provide their election expenditure details to the Election Commission of India both online and offline,” said Mr. Imtiaz.
Those failing to provide the details by June 22 would be declared ineligible to contest any election for six years.
Joint Collector Krithika Shukla, Returning Offices and other officials were present.
