Former Chief Minister Nadendla Bhaskara Rao said on Monday that floating of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was the only mistake committed by him in his lifetime.

“I am still regretting for floating the party and inviting the late N.T. Rama Rao into it. I have seen him from very close quarters and what I have spoken about him is nothing but true,” he said while speaking to the media at Annavaram.

Finding fault with the assurances given to the BCs by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the ‘Jaiho BC’ public meeting, Mr. Rao said that people were not in a position to believe the Chief Minister notwithstanding the tall promises being made by him.

“Mr. Naidu has no respect for the Prime Minister, who came from the Backward Classes. How can he claim love and affection towards the BCs?” he asked.

Earlier in the day, the former Chief Minister had a darshan of Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy atop Ratnagiri.

The temple authorities accorded him a traditional welcome as per the protocol.
