The model involves details such as blocks. The new fad is fuse model where vehicles will be entering blocks and coming back to main roads.
Sub roads and main roads will be dividing blocks. This was considered to be the state-of-the-art design, which is currently followed in advanced localities in the US.
The AP Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is studying state-of-the-art models, including those of the US, to make Amaravati the most liveable city. For instance, neighbourhoods will be designed in such a way that a child need not walk more than a quarter mile to reach his school.
The neighbourhoods will be free from traffic, as the CRDA is toying with the idea of implementing fuse models where cycle tracks and footpaths will be developed.
Firstly, infrastructure like roads and water supply projects will be taken up. A three-tier infrastructural plan is on the anvil. Tier-I for Capital city, tier-II for neighbourhoods and habitations within in the region and tier-III for spaces related to individuals. The plan remains same for all three tiers.
