As part of the ongoing drive to infuse confidence among voters from the hypersensitive villages to take part in the polling, Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni on Tuesday visited Kattamuru village near Peddapuram, Katravulapalli near Jaggampeta, Dharmavaram near Prattipadu and Kathipudi villages and interacted with the residents.

Assuring the public that elaborate security arrangements would be made for the polling, he wanted the voters to cast their vote in a free and fair manner.

He explained them in detail about the functioning of the CVIGIL mobile application and advised them to lodge complaints to the Election Commission through the app in the event of any polling related irregularities taking place in their villages.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Vishal Gunni said that hypersensitive villages all over the district had been identified with the help of poll percentage registered in the general elections held in 2014 and special drives would be conducted in all the villages to ensure that more and more people exercise their franchise in the ensuing elections.
