The Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika and APNGOs’ Association have decided to observe ‘Telugu people’s betrayal day’ on December 9, the birthday of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

It was on December 9, 2009 that the process for formation of Telangana was announced by the Centre. They would organise protests on that day seeking people’s support for a united Andhra Pradesh.

They would step up the agitation from December 5, as the Centre prepares for taking a final call on the Telangana Bill to be introduced in Parliament, APNGOs’ president P. Ashok Babu said on Monday.
