Son ‘kills’ man over sharing of chicken dish

The police have arrested a youth for allegedly killing his father with a rock over sharing of a chicken dish at Pamuganipalle village of V.Kota mandal in the district.

According to information, Sallapuri (55), an agricultural worker, picked up a quarrel with his four sons over the sharing of the dish around the midnight of Saturday. Venkatramudu (19), the youngest son, in the heat of argument reportedly picked up a rock and attacked his father, leading to his death.

Venkatramudu was reportedly in inebriated condition when the incident took place.

It was on Sunday morning the neighbours found Sallapuri dead and alerted the police which rushed to the spot. A case has been registered and investigation in on.

Man ‘kills’ wife, surrenders

Meanwhile, in another incident, a farmer surrendered before the police on Sunday reportedly after killing his wife Vasantha (30) at their house at Dasarlapalle village of V.Kota mandal on Saturday night.

The accused has been identified as Srinivas.

According to the police, Srinivas claimed that Vasantha had been cheating on him for the last two years. On Saturday night, the couple entered into a heated arguments over the issue.

In the fit of rage, Srinivas reportedly picked up a crowbar and hit his wife on her head. She succumbed her injuries on the spot.
