Solar-wind energy

The State government’s efforts to promote renewable energy sources such solar and wind power received a shot in the arm with Australian solar manufacturer Heliostat conveying its willingness to set up a solar-wind power generation plant in Anantapur district. A delegation of Heliostat representatives called on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada on Saturday evening and discussed with him about the project. The delegation had assured that it would come up with a detailed project report soon for inking a pact with the government. The delegation told the Chief Minister about the company’s keenness on investing in solar equipment manufacturing, research and development and power generation facilities in the State. The Chief Minister wanted Heliostat to share its expertise with the State government by partnering with the proposed petroleum university.
