Softbank team visits Kurnool

A three-member team from Japan’s Softbank Corporation on Sunday inspected two places in Kurnool district for the proposed setting up of solar power projects to generate 1,000 MW.

They visited Gani and Pinnapuram villages in the district and were accompanied by Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of AP Kamalakar Babu. According to official sources, the State government would hand over the land for the proposed projects to NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited on lease basis.
