Slew of events to mark environment day

The Regional Science Centre-Tirupati (RSCT), in association with the APPCB, will organise several programmes for children and the general public to mark the World Environment Day on Friday.

Events such as painting competition on the topic ‘One Planet Consume With Care’ (10.30 a.m.), Family Quiz – Nature (11.30 a.m.), and science lecture on ‘Degradation of Seshachalam Forest’ (12.30 p.m.) will be held on the RSCT premises.

CPCRI (Kasargod) Former Director V. Rajagopal, APPCB Tirupati Environment Engineer A. Narendra Babu are expected to take part in the programme.

Meanwhile, APPCB Regional Office will be organising an ‘Environmental rally’ to create awareness among people to safeguard the nature. The event will be flagged off by Tirupati Urban SP Gopinath Jatti from Ramachandra Pushkarni at 7.30 a.m. and conclude at TUDA Office.
