Slain former A.P. MP’s daughter for fair probe

‘Don’t demean Vivekananda’s death’

Y.S. Sunitha Reddy, daughter of slain politician Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, on Wednesday appealed to the media and politicians asking them not to demean his death by “distorting facts through parallel probes”.

To a query if she too was demanding a CBI probe like her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy, she said any agency was fine so long as it was allowed to function independently. “All I am saying is that the investigation should be done in a fair manner and those involved in the murder should be brought to book.”

Addressing a press conference at her Pulivendula residence, she narrated how the former MP, a highly-respected personality in the constituency and the district, had been subjected to great disrespect by random inferences and indifferent comments from a section of the political class and the media.
