Andhra Pradesh Government has constituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by DIG Mahesh Chandra Ladda to probe into spurious liquor case in which five persons died and 29 others were hospitalised in Vijayawada on December 7.
The nine-member SIT will probe on how and where the liquor was adulterated, and the persons involved in the racket, said Director General of Police J. V. Ramudu. The SIT will operate with the help of Vijayawada City Police and complete investigation of the case soon, the DGP told newsmen on Wednesday.
