Singareni staff to get Rs.260 cr. Deepavali bonus

The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) has decided to pay Deepavali bonus to employees, non-executives or those recruited under National Coal Wage Agreement norms, at Rs.48,500 each on fulfilling certain eligibility criterion. The decision will cost about Rs.260 crore to the company.

According to a statement issued by the company here on Friday, the Deepavali bonus amount would be credited to the bank accounts of eligible employees on November 6. The eligibility for getting the full bonus amount is that the underground employees should have 190 musters and surface employees should have 240 during 2014-15. The bonus would be paid proportionately if the employees had lesser musters.
