RTC strike unilateral: Naidu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday termed the strike by APSRTC employees ‘unilateral’ and asked the unions to hold talks with the Cabinet sub-committee for a solution.

At a public meeting at Narsipuram in Parvathipuram mandal, Mr. Naidu said said the employees should have given a thought to the financial condition of A.P. post-bifurcation.

Ongole Staff Reporter writes: Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao said the State would not hesitate to invoke the Essential Services Maintenance Act against the striking RTC staff (ESMA) if the situation warranted.
