Rs. 125 crore for unanimous GPs

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to give as incentive a total of Rs. 125 crore for the gram panchayats in which elections were unanimous, Minister for Panchayati Raj Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu said.

He released the dairy brought out by the State Sarpanches Association and dairy and calendar of the Panchayati Raj Department Engineering Department here.

The Government would supply free of cost items needed for Sankranti festival to white ration card holders, he said. The Minister told the sarpanches to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the village to avoid spread of diseases.

Vice-president of State Sarpanches Association K. Madhusudhana Rao, president of the PR Engineering Department Engineers Association B. Umasankar, vice-presidents G. Trinadha Babu and K. Rambabu, general secretary B.V. Nageswara Rao and other office-bearers were present.
