The district administration and the Nellore Municipal Corporation in association with the Waqf Board have made all arrangements for the popular ‘Rottela Panduga’ festival to be organised at the Bara Shahid dargah here in Nellore city from October 24 to 27.

This is the second year that the Roti Festival is being celebrated as a State festival with different departments actively taking part in the festival arrangements.

Additional facilities are being created for the lakhs of pilgrims who come on pilgrimage for this festival from far-off places in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and AP and Telangana. The officials have made arrangements for the pilgrims to exchange their ‘rotis’ by going knee-deep into the cool waters of the Swarnala Cheruvu.
