Riders set for Mudragada’s padayatra

‘Padayatra will be permitted only if he agrees to meet govt.’s terms’

Deputy Chief Minister (Home) N. Chinarajappa on Wednesday made it clear that Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham would be permitted to go ahead with his proposed Chalo Amaravati padayatra only if he agreed to abide by the government’s conditions.

In an informal chat with reporters, Mr. Chinarajappa said permission would be denied without a second thought if the Kapu leader failed to budge. The Minister alleged that Mr. Padmanabham was scripting a new drama with his padayatra.

“Why didn’t he fight for reservations while he was in power for about three decades?” he asked.
