Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy has said the revenue record system would be revamped in the State by doing away with archaic procedures.
He added that revenue review meetings would be held at Anantapur, Eluru, Guntur and Vizianagaram covering all districts between January 22 and February 11.
During the meetings, officials will review issue of pattedar passbooks and other pending issues pertaining to farmers. Any officer found guilty of delaying issue of passbooks will be punished, he warned.
Mr. Krishna Murthy asked people not to give credence to rumours that Kurnool projects were being shifted to other places. He ridiculed YSRC chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s claim that he would be the CM for 30 years and added that he could fulfil his wish only at at “mock-assembly” wherein he could play the role of his choice.
He accused Jagan of playing a dubious role on the new capital by claiming that he should suggest the government where the capital should be located.
Allotment of land
Mr. Krishna Murthy said the Ministerial Committee would soon decide on procedure for allotment of land to industries. He said the government was contemplating to either give land on lease or sell outright.
