‘Revanth Reddy will come out unscathed’

June 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:24 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy has exuded confidence that TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy, arrested in ‘cash for vote’ case, will come out unscathed.

Asked if the Revanth Reddy episode has affected the ruling party’s image, Mr. Krishnamurthy, who convened a media conference to recount the achievements of the Revenue Department in the last one year, initially said it was not the platform to speak about the issue. However, he said it was a complicated matter and there were several aspects to it, and recalled that the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao believed to have told some of his party MLAs that they would hear a sensational news one hour before the arrest of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy in a sting operation conducted by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau. The visuals of the sting operation were also released to some media channels soon after the incident.

Listing out achievements of the Revenue Department, he took credit for successful mobilisation of 33,000 acres under land pooling for the Capital City.

The Revanth Reddy scandal is nothing but a conspiracy hatched by the TRS to defame TDP leaders
