Telangana TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday alleged that his arrest is part of the conspiracy hatched by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and declared that he has the courage to fight against Mr. Rao even if 100 illegal cases are foisted on him.

Talking media persons as he was being taken by ACB sleuths, he said the TDP did not imagine that Mr. Rao would stoop so low to win one MLC seat. He maintained that he was implicated and questioned the need for him to mediate through a bishop.

On the claim of ACB that Rs.50 lakh were found on him, Mr. Reddy quipped: They will tell anything. He said police has to state the reasons for arresting him. He said that the TRS government reduced his gunmen and that he was under pressure. He alleged that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao is misusing power to browbeat Opposition MLAs and foist false cases if anybody stood up against the TRS government.

Terming it as Revath Reddy versus KCR, he said that he will fight politically till the Telangana Chief Minister is unseated from power.

Meanwhile, Telangana TDP leaders led by its president L. Ramana and Errabelli Dayakar Rao met DGP Anurag Sharma and protested against the arrest of Mr. Revanth Reddy.

Later addressing the media, Mr. Dayakar Rao and Ramana demanded immediate withdrawal of “false cases” and Mr. Revanth’s release.

I will fight politically till the Telangana Chief Minister is unseated from power.

A. Revanth Reddy,

TDP MLA.
