Research and development is an area where lot of progress needs to be achieved, P. Jayarami Reddy, Director of G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College (autonomous), Kurnool, said.
He launched Research for Growth, a five-year-long programme conceived by the Department of Civil Engineering.
College principal B. Sreenivasa Reddy stressed the need for being proactive in R & D growth and exhorted teachers to evince interest in it apart from conventional teaching.
Professor and Coordinator of the programme J.V. Gurumurthy spoke on the proposed activities.
