Former Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil offered prayers at Srisailam temple on Monday.

Clad in a saffron-coloured ‘dhoti’ and ‘angavastram’, Mr. Patil offered prayers to the village Goddess Sri Manchalamma and then to Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Sri Bhramaramba Devi. He was received by temple Executive Officer K.V. Sagar Babu on arrival. Mr. Basawaraj Patil, MLA of Ausa in Maharashtra, accompanied the former Union Minister.

Temple priests blessed Mr. Shivaraj Patil and Mr. Basavaraj Patil and the EO presented ‘seshavastram’ and ‘prasadam’ to them.

Later Tadpatri MLA J.C. Prabhakar Reddy and his wife also visited the temple and offered prayers.
