Rehman takes charge as Commissioner of Customs

S. Khader Rehman assumed charge as the Commissioner of Customs, Customs Commissionerate, Vijayawada, on Wednesday. Mr. Rehman, a 1998 batch IRS Officer, was earlier served as Additional Commissioner. Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, C.P Rao, handed over the charge to Mr. Rehman. The office of Customs Commissionerate in Vijayawada would have its jurisdiction over the costal Andhra districts, including major ports at Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Nellore. Mr. Rehman took charge at the Office of Commissioner of Central Excise and Customs in Guntur as the office at Vijayawada was being readied.
