Ramakrishna Rao likely to be V-C of Krishna varsity


Visakhaptnam-based environmental expert and retired Andhra University professor Sunkari Ramakrishna Rao has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University.

Mr. Rao had served in the Civil Engineering Department of the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

He is presently the Chairman of Pollution Monitoring Boards of various Public Sector Units in Visakhapatnam, including Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Sources in the Higher Education Department told The Hindu that appoint of Vice-Chancellor for Krishna University has been completed and an order would likely to be issued by Thursday.

“I have not received any official communication from the Higher Education Department about my appointment till Wednesday evening”, Mr. Rao told The Hindu over phone.
