Senior BJP leader Ram Madhav has ruled out any alliance with the YSR Congress Party and also reconciliation with the TDP.
He was participating in an interactive session at a conclave organised by a private media house here on Saturday.
“What is there to choose between Tweedledum and Tweedledee? Both are equally rotten parties,” he said referring to the TDP and the YSRCP.
However, the BJP was open to alliances with other parties.
Earlier, he criticised the remarks of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and said, “Nowadays, there are so many leaders out to save the nation. We have the Chief Minister of A.P. out to save the nation. Another leader is starting from Hyderabad (referring to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao) on the same noble mission.”
To cover-up his failures, the Chief Minister of A.P. was indulging in BJP-bashing, but the people would see through his game, he said.
‘People fed up with TDP’
Staff Reporter in Vizianagaram writes: Mr. Madhav hoped the BJP would be a formidable force in A.P. in no time as people were fed up with the TDP government. Addressing the media here, he said people were looking at the BJP as it had provided a clean administration at the Centre. He urged the party leaders to concentrate on the door-to-door campaign and explain the achievements of the Modi government.
Mr. Madhav alleged that the State government was trying to claim credit for the Central government schemes by changing its names.
Earlier, Visakhapatnam MP K. Hari Babu, MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju, State treasurer Pakalapati Sanyasi Raju and others interacted with Mr. Madhav, and explained the party’s activities in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.
