Political conspiracy behind destruction of sugar cane fields: A.P. Dy.CM

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister N. Chinarajappa has said the destruction of sugar cane crop in Amaravati area soon after foundation stone laying ceremony is an act of political conspiracy.

The police are investigating into the incident and such acts of vandalism will not be tolerated, he said.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that there was no necessity for land acquisition now in the capital area as the Government had already acquired required land in addition to the Government land and forest land to be denotified soon for the development of capital region.

Some political forces were conspiring to provoke farmers and create bottlenecks in the capital city construction. Government has already earmarked required land for the capital, he said. By 2018, State Government was determined to shift administration to the new capital Amaravati, he added.

Reacting to the fire accident at Gudari Gunta in Kakinada where 50 houses were gutted, Mr. China Rajappa said that a probe was ordered into the mishap. He asked the District Collector to rush to the site and provide rehabilitation and relief to the victims.
