Police officials review security for Dasara atop Indrakeeladri

Discuss arrangements made for ‘Bhavanis’

Joint Commissioner of Police B.V. Ramana Kumar, along with Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP-II) T.K. Rana on Friday visited Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devastanam and enquired about the security arrangements being made for the Dasara Festival. The Joint CP enquired with West Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) G. Ramakrishna and One Town Circle Inspector D. Kasi Viswanath about the barricades, parking and special counters planned for pasadam distribution.

The police officials discussed about the arrangements being made for ‘Bhavanis’, who visit the temple during the festival.

Navaratri Utsavams

Lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the temple from Telangana and other States, and have darshan of the deity during the Navaratri Utsavams.

Police will make elaborate arrangements for the nine-day utsavams at Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) and railway station.

A meeting would be conducted to beef up security atop Indrakeeladri for Dasara Utsavams, the police officials said.
