The umbrella body of all political parties and people’s organisations to achieve the Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh, Prathyeka Hoda Haamilu Amalu Sadhana Samithi leader Chalasani Srinivas said its members will picket the Parliament House during the next session to achieve their goal.

Mr. Srinivas said that the Bharatiya Janata Party ‘betrayed the people of A.P. on the Special Category Status’, which could have brought some development and jobs to the unemployed youth.

At a press conference here on Friday, after conclusion of the Samara Yatra, he took strong objection to the BJP cadre allegedly physically attacking people in Andhra Pradesh, who were seeking the SCS.

He criticised Mr. Chandrababu Naidu for ‘not making a joint effort to achieve the SCS along with other political parties to put pressure on Centre.

He said the YSRCP, the Jana Sena Party, the CPI, the Congress and other people’s organisations were working with them to achieve the goal.

He thanked film actors Nagineedu, Hema, Sivaji Raja and Srikant for suppporting the movement.
