Physical tests for sub-inspector, fire officer aspirants from today

The Physical Measurement tests for those qualifying in the preliminary tests for the posts of Sub-Inspectors, Reserve Sub-Inspectors, Station Fire Officers and Deputy Jailors will be conducted on the premises of the 2nd Battalion of APSP in Kurnool from January 21.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Dadi Nagendra on Saturday said the tests would be conducted from 5.30 a.m. each day.

Those who qualified in the written test have been individually informed about their exam schedule.

In all, there are 14,525 candidates of which 13,290 are men and 1,235 are women.

Each day, about 600 to 800 candidates will be subjected to the physical tests. Those wanting to raise an appeal against the process can meet the DIG on February 6, the last day of the tests.

All candidates have been asked to come with original certificates along with a set of photostat copies of the certificates which will have to be signed by a gazetted officer.

Those candidates who are found to be not possessing the original certificates will not be allowed to take the test, the release added.
