‘Questions, suggestions on problems can be uploaded’

An online interactive portal on issues facing the common man, ‘People’s Manifesto’, would be launched shortly, former additional director general of police V.V. Lakshminarayana said here on Saturday.

People could upload their questions, suggestions on problems/solutions facing their villages/towns/cities on the website and the organisation which VV was associated with would prepare a village manifesto for every village in the State, Mr. Lakshminarayana said in his address to students at the Vignan University here.

The former IPS officer who had served as joint director in the CBI on deputation has recently resigned from the All India Services and begun touring the State. Though he has not made his intentions clear on joining politics, he has been engaging in public life for the last six months.

Earlier, Mr. Lakshminarayana said that engineering students should never keep their brains idle and think of providing solutions to everyday problems.

“Know the problems in society and try to find solutions. Our minds should always churn with ideas. Look what happens when water is boiling above 100 degrees Celsius and compare it when the flame is reduced. Our minds should be like that,” Mr. Lakshminarayana said in the Engineer’s Day celebrations held in memory of Mokshangundam Visvesvaraya.

Chairman of the Vignan group of educational institutions Lavu Rathaiah said one should draw inspiration from Visvesvaraya and come up with ideas to make the country better.

Vice-chairman Lavu Krishnadevarayulu said students should keep themselves abreast of technological innovations even during college days.
