TDP MP C.M. Ramesh on Monday said that the government will overcome all the hurdles and complete the Pattiseema lift irrigation project on a priority basis. Talking to media persons Mr. Ramesh said the project is not only envisaged at meeting both the drinking and irrigation requirements of the people of the Rayalseema region but also give a fillip to the industrial activity around the new capital city. Taking a dig at YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy he said it was agonising that a leader from Rayalaseema was hell bent on creating obstacles to the novel irrigation scheme unmindful of the benefits it showers on the people of the region.

He said TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu who sensed the water requirements of the people of Rayalseema region during his walkathon conceived the idea of interlinking of the rivers and the Pattiseema was part of it.
