As many as 100 painters from across the country are on course to set a record of sorts by painting non-stop for 100 hours here.

Giving vent to their imagination, the artists in league have completed 75 artworks in turns after 72 hours of non-stop painting spree at the Hydri Club here on Wednesday.

Srushti Art Academy founder T. Ravindra, who was the brain behind the wonderful idea to celebrate in a unique way the birth anniversary of noted painter Pablo Picasso, said as many as 25 women from Bengaluru, Puducherry and other places had enthusiastically turned up for the big event.

Octogenarian R.Venkateswarulu from Ulichi village was the oldest participant.
