Orders in nominated MLA case on June 29

June 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Orders in the petition filed by Elvis Stephenson, the complainant in the note-for-vote scam case, requesting that the case be heard by other judge, will be pronounced on Monday.

Justice B. Shivashankar Rao of Hyderabad High Court made the announcement in the court on Thursday. It may be recalled that Mattaiah, the fourth accused, filed a petition seeking quashing of the case against him. The judge had granted limited stay and asked the ACB to submit its arguments.

Stevenson came to the court and said that such order could not have been given in the manner it was given and requested the court to recuse from the case. Arguments were advanced in this petition.

The judge said that after pronouncing orders in this miscellaneous petition, further steps in the main case would be taken. The stay of arrest of Mattiah, which was already granted, will be in force.
