No darshan ticket or token of any kind will be issued during the period, says official.

The TTD has resolved to allow only ‘sarva darshan’ during the six-day ‘Balalaya Maha Samprokshanam’ scheduled from August 11 to 16.

Addressing the media after chairing a high-level meeting with heads of various departments, temple priests, agama advisers, and temple jewellery officials, Tirumala-based TTD JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju on Tuesday said no darshan tickets or tokens of any kind would be issued during the festival period.

Any devotee visiting the town during the period should invariably join the ordinary queue line for darshan, as the management dispensed with all other formats of darshan.

Permitting devotees into the Vaikuntham Complex shall be purely based on availability of darshan hours on that particular day, he said.

‘A considered decision’

“As maximum time will be dedicated to observing the religious formalities, there will be paucity in darshan hours,” he reiterated.

“Hence, the management has decided to allow devotees only in limited number,” he added.

Meanwhile, TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, along with the chief priest, Venugopal Dikshitulu, inspected the ‘yagasala’ inside the temple and took stock of the arrangements.
