A labourer from Maharashtra was killed on the spot and ten others were injured when a bore-well lorry overturned near electric sub-station at Devalampalle village of Vedurukuppam mandal on Tuesday. Of the injured, condition of six labourers was said to be serious and they were admitted to Government Hospital at Chittoor.
According to the Vedurukuppam police, the rig-lorry was on its way to a nearby village in the early hours when it overturned.The impact led to instantaneous death of Prakash (20) of Maharasthra. All the injured were shifted to Chittoor hospital.
