The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a thorough search of the office premises of Jubilee Media owned by Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal's brother Sridhar at Madhapur here on Thursday.
The search was part of its investigation into investments made by various corporates in the businesses of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. The search which commenced around 11 a.m. and went on till 8.30 p.m. resulted in seizure of a laptop, a hard disc and several documents, sources said.
This was the first time that the CBI searched the premises though it had summoned Mr. Sridhar for questioning in the past. His name, however, does not figure among over 70 accused in the case relating to Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy.
The CBI also questioned the vice-chairman of Jagathi Publications, V. Vijay Sai Reddy, for the sixth consecutive day. The agency's joint director V.V.
