The allegations of corruption and deviation in the performance of rituals inside the Tirumala temple made by former chief priest A.V. Ramana Dikshitulu, besides acquiring political dimension, are gradually snowballing into a major controversy.

In an impromptu address, senior seer of the Tirumala temple Sri Satakopa Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar told the media on Friday that there were no violations in the observance of rituals inside the temple.

“All the rituals, right from ‘Suprabhatam’ to ‘Ekanta seva,’ are being conducted in strict adherence to the Ramanuja tradition,” he said. Ruling out any kind of discrepancies in ‘naivedyam’ (food offering to the Lord), he said the ritual was being observed in all its sanctity at the specified hours.
