The Chief Minster made it clear that police must ensure that rigid regulations were not imposed on pilgrims and that no force be used to control the crowd. “I am facing this problem often with my gunmen and NSG. They put me in troubles many a times as they use force to keep the crowd away from me, though it is their duty. I warn them not to use too much of interference,” Mr. Naidu said.

Saying that wooden barricades were not necessary to control crowd in towns such as Rajahmundry, Narsapur and Kovvuru, he asked police to use mobile barriers to divert traffic and announce the traffic restriction plans repeatedly through public address system to prevent inconvenience to people and pilgrims as well.
