‘No moral right to criticise Naidu'

September 05, 2011 11:29 am | Updated 11:29 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has condemned criticism of party president N. Chandrababu Naidu by leaders of the Congress, YSR Congress, BJP and the TRS against his declaration of assets and said they have no moral right to do so without disclosing their assets.

Party general secretary Varla Ramaiah told mediapersons on Sunday that Congress leaders like J.C. Diwakar Reddy and Botcha Satyanarayana were resorting to nitpicking in Mr. Naidu's declaration instead of welcoming the act. He clarified that Mr. Naidu was clear in stating that the values shown were based on acquisition and not the market price.

He asked the two leaders to declare the assets in their and their family members' names before pointing fingers at others. He also criticised Tirupati MLA K. Chiranjeevi, BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy, K.T. Rama Rao and others for flaying Mr. Naidu.
