In his maiden interaction with officials of all the departments, Krishna district Collector Ahmed Babu on Monday proposed to set up ‘Team Krishna’ involving various officers to shape the district into the smartest district in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Ahmed Babu took charge as new Krishna district Collector. The ‘Team Krishna’ would work on improvement of infrastructure facilities in the required arenas in the district, which are falling under the capital region. “The concept of smart district will strive to create better infrastructure facilities ensuring better living conditions. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had narrated to me his interest to turn the district into smart as one in the coming years,” said Mr. Ahmed Babu. On the weekly-grievance day, Mr. Ahmed Babu inspected the presence of officers of all the government departments at the grievance cell. He noticed absence of officials representing departments such as food inspection, adult education, sports, legal metrology and drug control. He also prepared a list of vacancies which required to be filled up on war-footing basis.

The new Collector had directed the municipalities in Krishna district to conduct weekly-grievance redressal session in their offices from next Monday. Joint Collector J. Murali and other officers accompanied him.
