Telugu Desam Party national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday congratulated Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on his victory in the Assembly elections. In a tweet, Mr. Naidu said, “The TDP respects the public mandate in Telangana. Greetings to Chief Minister KCR. Congratulations to all MLAs in five States.”
Netizens reacted sharply to his tweet. While a few supported him, many trolled him saying he had played a key role in the victory of the TRS. They felt that the TRS had a cakewalk victory due to the campaign did by Mr. Naidu. Amarnadhreddychitte tweeted, “Miru pracharaniki ravadam Valla kcr gelupu inka easy ayindi, thank you sir (Due to your campaign, KCR won easily. Thank you sir). Navin, another netizen, opined, “TRS was sure of winning 70+ seats, but thanks to your canvassing & Lango Rajpogal survey TRS won 15 extra seats.” Shiva Rover replied, “Thank you CBN garu for Making us to vote for Trs.”
The TDP received votes less than NOTA (none of the above), points out another user Thiru. The share of Nota is 1.8% while the TDP got 1.0% vote share. S. Sandeep Reddy, in his reply, ridiculed that Mr. Naidu had built the gravestone to all political parties in maha kutami. “You claim that everything was built by you. At last, you built a burial to all political parties,” he replied.
The netizens like Helios Ravi extended their full support. “Sir, my sincere advice is that you better concentrate on making Amaravati a great capital. Many forgot your contribution to the development of Hyderabad. Hope to see you in power in AP in 2019. We are with you sir.” Murlidhar Rao was another supporter.
