The recently-held Google Hangouts programme of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu created 2,94,62,648 impressions online across the world. The detailed statistics of the programme point to an increasing interest from netizens to interact with Mr. Naidu.

The Chief Minister continues to be popular among netizens, said a press release from Communications Advisor to AP Government Parakala Prabhakar.

On December 20, the Chief Minister for the first time interacted with citizens via Google Hangouts on the topic “Skill Development and Higher Education.”

The total number of views of the programme on AP State government You Tube channel is 2,10,758 views.   The top 10 countries to which the Chief Minister’s Google Hangouts programme reached are India, USA, UK, UAE, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Canada, Malaysia and Kuwait.

The channels used by the social media team to spread the message about the Google Hangouts programME were Mr. Naidu’s Twitter account, his Facebook Page, AP State government You Tube, AP government’s Twitter account, AP government Facebook Page and TDP official Facebook Page. The team also publicised the programme on Mr. Naidu’s website. 

Over 800 questions, suggestions and ideas were collected by using #AskAPCM or #AskCBN through Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and YouTube.

The questions have been forwarded to the concerned departments and the social media team will soon write back to citizens with answers. Suggestions and ideas too have been taken from citizens and have been sent to the departments concerned, the release said.

The Google Hangouts programme will be held once in three months. It will be used as a medium to communicate with people and listen to them. It said the number of followers on Mr. Naidu’s twitter page is 4,37,696, the number of like’s on his Facebook page is 3,38,114 and number of likes on AP government’s Facebook page is 26,030.
