YSRCP Penamaluru MLA Kolusu Parthsarathy said on Sunday that former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu did not learn lessons from the TDP’s debacle in the elections.
Instead of setting his house in order, Mr. Naidu was making comments that did not befit his stature, Mr. Parthasarathy told the media at the party’s State office at Tadepalli in Guntur district.
‘Analyse reasons’
Mr. Naidu should dwell into the reasons of the TDP’s drubbing, he said, and attributed it to the irregularities committed by the Janmabhoomi committees and corruption at high places.
Mr. Parthasarathy said SCs, STs, BCs and minorities, who had been with the TDP since the days of N.T. Rama Rao, deserted it, and Mr. Naidu should look into the reasons and make amends.
Mr. Naidu was making objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy out of desperation, the MLA alleged.
While Mr. Naidu had faltered in implementing the promises made during the 2014 elections, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled many commitments in the last four months.
Sand supply
Mr. Parthasarathy said there were indeed problems in streamlining the supply of sand, but Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy did not give up his responsibility to set things right, and pointed out that much of the difficulty was on account of floods.
The ineptitude of the TDP government landed its successor in deep trouble, the MLA stated, demanding that Mr. Naidu stop criticising the government.
