Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday inaugurated the 10-floor Tower-1 of the Millennium Tower at Rushikonda in the city.

This is one of the major projects contemplated by the TDP to promote Visakhapatnam as a destination for investment in IT and ITES.

The Tower-1 was built in an area of four acres with an investment of ₹145 crore. It has a built-up space of two lakh sft and 1.5 lakh sft for parking. Four floors with an area of one lakh square ft of built-up space has been allotted to Conduent, a global leader in digital interactions with operations in 35 countries. For six months, the allotment will be free. It will be given the remaining four floors shortly.

Conduent operations

The tower will be given on payment of ₹30 per sft to Conduent after six months.

Conduent has been operating in two rented buildings at the Madhurawada IT Special Economic Zone for nearly one year. Construction of another tower with one lakh sft is under progress at a cost of ₹55 crore. It is likely to be ready by September.

Conduent wants to provide 5,000 jobs in two years to serve its global clients through its Indian arm in the spheres of technology, transportation, healthcare, public safety, HR, process automation and operational excellence. It focuses on diversified business process services with thrust on transaction processing, automation and analytics.
