YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was ignoring the problems of the State and giving utmost priority to building his personal image at the national level.

Finding fault with Mr. Naidu meeting leaders of various parties frequently instead of concentrating on the issues pertaining to the State such as AgriGold, Mr. Jagan, who addressed a public meeting at Kurupam in the district, alleged that the government was reducing the value of AgriGold properties in a systematic way.

Mr. Jagan said his party would extend its wholehearted support to the depositors’ efforts to protect Haailand in Guntur district.

“The government should have extended its moral support to the depositors. But, it is actually supporting the leaders who had grabbed the AgriGold lands in the State,” Mr. Jagan alleged.

‘Cover-up bid’

The TDP government was trying to stop the CBI from probing its “misdeeds,” the YSRCP president alleged, and said in a sarcastic way that “Mr. Naidu may issue a GO saying that A.P. does not need a High Court if judges order a CBI probe.”

Mr. Jagan said his party would remove all belt shops in the State soon after being voted to power. He also promised to make payments under the fee reimbursement scheme within 72 hours of applying for the same, and extend financial assistance under ‘Cheyuta’ to all women who crossed 45 years. He promised to complete the Thotapalli project to ensure irrigation to the tail-end lands.
