Bommala Chaitanya Kumar (25) of Machilipatnam was on Wednesday found dead at the Miami beach in Florida under suspicious condition. According to family members, the information was first communicated by his friend who belongs to Gudivada and based in Florida.

The family members told newsmen that Mr. Chaitanya Kumar had recently completed MS (Electronics and Communication Engineering) from a Florida-based university and was preparing for job.

He had also been preparing to visit India for the past few months.

He visited Machilipatnam in December 2016 and returned to Florida in March 2017. “He has been in touch with all the friends but did not respond to any video call in the last week,” said a childhood friend on condition of anonymity, given that the death was suspicious.

Mr. Chaitanya Kumar completed B. Tech (ECE) in 2012-13 from the Gudlavalleru College of Engineering. His father Rama Mohan Rao is an employee in the Machilipatnam Municipality and his sister has recently completed B. Tech.

The parents and relatives have no clue of the cause. District Collector B. Lakshmikantam told The Hindu that efforts were being made to bring the body here. “There is no communication about any detail regarding the death,” said Mr. Lakshmikantam.
