More women, elderly coming forward to register grievances, says SP


‘It indicates their confidence on redressal system’

M. Ravindranath Babu on Monday said that more women and elderly people have started bringing their grievances to the notice of the police for redressal in Krishna district.

Addressing the police officials here, Mr. Ravindranath Babu has said that above half of the grievances registered both at the district and the police station levels were received from women and the elderly.

“The number of grievances being registered by the women is increasing. Such a trend is a signal of their confidence on redressal system and style of functioning of the police,” said Mr. Ravindranath Babu.

On Monday, at least 50 grievances have been received by the SP at the District Police Office here. The Krishna police have been equipped with a strong team to looks into grievances pertaining to online fraud and violation of the Information Technology Act.
