Missing student found dead in West Godavari

The body was traced in a pond

A missing ninth class student, K. Charan Teja (14), was found dead in a pond at Arugolanu village in West Godavari district on Saturday.

Balayogi Gurukula Patashala management lodged a police complaint after the boy went missing on February 14, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Dev Sharma.

“The body was found floating in a pit dug for a quarry near the school. The police shifted it to the government hospital mortuary for post-mortem,” the SP said.

A case has been registered and investigation is on.
