Psychopath administers injection on two women, triggers panic

A miscreant, suspected to be a psychopath, created panic in Palakoderu mandal in West Godavari District on Tuesday by administering injections on two women. The victims were admitted to Bhimavaram Government Hospital and their condition is out of danger, said West Godavari Superintendent of Police Baskhar Bushan.

At around 7 a.m, a masked man who came on a bike, gave an injection to a woman while she was painting rangoli in front of her house at Goragamudi village and escaped.

After some time, the insane gave an injection to a school-going girl at Kumudavalli village in Palakoderu mandal and vanished. Doctors, who were treating the patients, said the condition of the two patients was stable.

On August 22, two such incidents were reported in Undi mandal in the district. The accused targeted two women and gave injections, said the locals. “We launched a hunt to nab the psychopath. Instructions have been given to take up vehicle check up in all police sub-divisions in the district,” the SP said.
