Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao, Minister for Mines and Geology and TDP nominee for the Bobbili constituency, has said that effective implementation of the ‘Pasupu-Kumkuma’ and other welfare schemes endeared the TDP to women in the State and the latter were solidly behind the party.
Addressing a series of election meetings in the constituency on Wednesday, Mr. Ranga Rao exuded the confidence that the support of women would pave the way for massive victory of the TDP in more than 150 segments in the April 11 elections. The Minister campaigned in Sompuram, Chintalavalasa, Marrivalasa, Palavalasa and other villages.
“There is a strong wave in favour of the TDP in the constituency,” Mr. Ranga Rao said pointing out that those who benefited by payment of pension and implementation of various other schemes would help the party retain power.
Later speaking to the media, Mr. Ranga Rao said: “Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on the effective implementation of the schemes introduced for the downtrodden. The State would mobilise sufficient funds for the purpose by initiating various measures.
