Minister for Industries and Commerce and Information Technology Mekapati Goutham Reddy on Friday assured Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) Regional Chief General Manager K. Sambasiva Rao of full cooperation for the speedy development of the Multimodal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) in the State.

In a review meeting on the status of three MMLPs here, Mr. Goutham Reddy said the government would sort out any issues in the development of the facilities, which were crucial for improving the efficiency of transportation of cargo and handling the goods at seaports.

The Minister said he would talk to Nellore district Collector and issue instructions to remove the bottlenecks in road network that hampered the development of the MMLP coming up at Krishnapatnam.

Other problems would be duly solved for giving the projects a final tangible shape at the earliest, he stated, and enquired about the proposed integrated logistics and manufacturing zone project at Machilipatnam.
